Great item, fast shipping. I recommend buying a 1/16 roll pin starter and a flat punch for the pin.

    It's okay

I was a little disappointed in the quality for the price. I bought this highest priced version and was expecting more. Before I get into CONS, I want to make it clear that I would buy again, because I don't plan to go into Vietnam with my retro build - it's just basic fun for me. I was issued an A1 years ago and I just wanted to build a memory piece. First, the flat spring is weak and the sight flips forward and back rather easily. The sight itself is lower quality: standard hole is fine and centered, but the long range (L) has the hole drilled slightly to the right (at least on mine). Also, I haven't hit them with a micrometer but both appear to be the same size hole. Moving to the adjustment locking pin- the spring was too long and I had to cut 1/4" off to make it fit in the hole with the pin itself. I will concede that maybe hole in my receiver wasn't drilled deep enough, but I wanted to mention it. Especially since it wasn't the budget version and there were other issues that were clearly the part and not the receiver.

    Installed easy on upper receiver
Just be careful when installing the roll pin on the windage drum, it will fly away really fast

Very nice set. Fits in perfectly with my retro receiver. Very close color match.
